River Valley Community Grains owns and operates the only commercal stone-mill in NJ.
RVCG uses a collaborative approach to grain production, encouraging farmers to use regenerative agricultural methods to grow regional grain naturally.
We are working to engage the farmer, miller, and baker in conversation with each other to meet the growing demand for nutrient-dense grains, local flour, “real bread,” and healthy cereals in our region.
Together with our partners, we create nourishing, delicious flours and food, while holding a shared vision of restoring the soils, waters, and health of our communities.

In 2017, our journey with growing wheat naturally began. The land has been actively farmed for generations at Marksboro Mills... but we were on a mission to find a way to farm that would heal both the soil and the community.

Windy Brow Farm
Windy Brow has been a Sussex County staple for over 75 years. Originally operated as a dairy farm in the late 1800s, Windy Farms now grows over 50 varieties of apples, 15 varieties of peaches, sweet and tart cherries, as well as a full array of vegetables.
